Unframed, quality fine art print of subject analogous with Beefeaters. Members of the Sovereign's Body Guard of the Yeoman Guard Extraordinary have worn the same scarlet tunics since the reign of King Henry XVIII. Easily confused with the similarly robed Yeoman Warders, ceremonial guardians of the Tower of London, it's prisoners, Ravens and crown jewels, both Wardens and Guards are known as Beefeaters. Likely because their rations included significant quantities of beef. In the 17th century, beef on the menu was sufficiently extravagant for foreign diplomats to take note.
